Test Automation Engineer - Atlanta

The Test Automation Engineer is responsible for the automation testing efforts across several internal applications.  This will include ensuring feasibility and functionality through the creation of an automation testing framework, developing and maintaining the automation tests using Selenium, analyzing test results to ensure the application meets objectives  and assessing the project quality level and providing implementation reporting on all projects ahead of the software release.


  • Write, execute, and monitor automated tests

  • Maintain and improve on existing test automation framework

  • Research, recommend, and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing automation

  • Assist in defining automation standards which will be followed by all members of the QA automation team

  • Mentor other QA team members on automation

  • Participate in facilitating automation in conjunction with development (so automation keeps pace with new development – Agile / Scrum environment)

  • Provide accurate estimates for automation test project-driven work

  • Proactively communicate risk to the IT team; generate and propose solutions

  • Develop automated test scripts that are robust, performant, and maintainable using Selenium, build pipeline and SauceLabs toolset

  • Generate and maintain historical analysis of test results

  • Review and respond to technical questions and potential defects from internal staff

  • Knowledge and experience with integrating the automation test framework into the build process and quality gates along the software development cycle

What “Leads” To Success:

  • 5+  years in Quality Assurance performing hands-on testing

  • 3+  years building a test framework and writing automation tests using Selenium / WebDriver

  • C#, .NET or other object oriented language skills

  • Experience with SQL queries

  • Jenkins or other continuous integration tools

  • Integration of automation tests with services such as SauceLabs.com

  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other cloud based technologies

  • Familiarity with standard web and mobile architectures, both hardware and software

  • Experience and ability to create/update test automation for native mobile applications in the iOS and/or Android ecosystem

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • High level of initiative with ability to self-manage

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
