The Summer 2017 Release is Packed with New Functionality

Summer 2017 Release

New Standalone Mobile App - Download Now >>

Available on both Apple and Android devices, the new MapAnything App includes all the same functionality, plus some amazing performance enhancements like increased marker plotting speed and dependable application stability.

Rev up your geo-productivity engines, MapAnything Renegades! The Summer 2017 Release packs a “Where Power” punch.  From all the brand new capabilities to the upgraded features, there’s sure to be something in this release that will help make your day-to-day tasks even more efficient and impactful.

For this release, our key focus was to refine the overall MapAnything experience for our users, ultimately making geo-productivity insights easier and quicker to obtain. As part of this initiative, we knew we had to create a Standalone Mobile App.  We made sure to include all the same functionality, plus some amazing performance enhancements like increased marker plotting speed and dependable application stability. The new app is available for download on both Apple and Android devices.

Although we're excited about every aspect of this release, I wanted to highlight a few of our favorite new features.

1. New Shape Layer Builder

We redesigned the Shape Layer Builder interface, to make it more intuitive to use, and added some new functionality.

You can now also paste criteria from your clipboard. For example, if you have a list of zip codes, you can paste them directly into the Shape Layer Builder. Your zip codes will be fully validated and a shape will appear on your map, containing all the zip code areas you provided.

2. 'Draw on Map' Tool

This tool was designed to provide users with a quick way to create a shape layer on the map and fine-tune their selection.

With it, users can now draw a shape directly on the map.

For example, you might need to create a territory with 100 nearby zip codes or several nearby provinces. It would be too time-consuming to add them individually as criteria. With the 'Draw on Map' tool, you can draw a shape and then add or remove specific zip codes to refine your selection.

3. Travel Time Boundaries with Traffic

Currently, MapAnything has travel time boundaries that allow a user to answer the question,“in 10 minutes, how far can I travel from my current location?”

With the Summer Release, we have added a new feature so you can select the time of day and the day of the week as additional criteria. And since traffic varies dramatically throughout the day, it's helpful for users to now be able to answer this question, “how far can I travel in 10 minutes, from my current location, at 8 a.m. on a Wednesday?”

Equipped with these great new tools and features, your productivity levels are sure to undergo a huge boost!
