Product Release Manager - Charlotte, NC

The Product Release Manager at MapAnything will own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and management of releases across all products with Development, Product, Support and Quality Assurance teams.  These releases can include product feature updates, bug fixes, new feature enhancements, and all other aspects introduced to the product line. The Release Manager will collaborate closely with Product Management to ensure timely, efficient, and effective release cycles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Release cycles from planning through implementation and maintenance to meet organization needs, requirement and capacity

  • Develop and track performance metrics and project status. Provide guidance to new techniques to improve product agility.

  • Evaluate and manage risks associated with each release and provide  thought leadership and resolution

  • Drive solutions with the Product and Development teams through market requirements, product features and positioning of each release in order to maintain continuity and integrity in the product

  • Facilitate release content and collateral needed to internal and externally communicate changes

  • Manage relationships and ensure work flows between teams (Development, Product, Support and QA)

  • Communicate  Release Readiness reviews, Go/No Go Reviews to project team and management

  • Coordinate internal education on new features and products

  • Lead project review with Product Managers , Development team and QA on usability of new products and features

  • Develop and maintain effective release process

  • Work with Development team to understand impact of code changes/additions

  • Facilitate meetings to discuss release scope and impact on current product status

  • Build a positive relationship with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities that may impact business relations.

Desired Attributes:

  • 4 - 6 years of previous release management and/or project management experience working at a software company

  • Experience with SaaS / Salesforce a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required

  • Strong analytical, strategic and problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Technical Acumen

  • 40-50% Travel
