Manager Business Development - Charlotte, NC

MapAnything is seeking a motivated management-level professional to join our growing sales team. The Manager of Sales Development will be responsible for leading a team of Business Development Representatives that complements and supports our Enterprise Sales team, primarily through lead generation activities. Our ideal candidate will be a capable leader, who is enthusiastic about driving business activities and delivering results.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide leadership, guidance, encouragement, and coaching to a team of inbound and outbound Sales Development Representatives supporting North America
  • Create a scalable and repeatable process for engaging with prospective customers via outbound lead-generation activities
  • Partner with Marketing to provide input and support for marketing campaigns and initiatives, across email social media and other channels
  • Align with Enterprise Sales to create joint-pursuits, to understand market needs and develop strategies for each territory
  • Achieve specific team-level lead generation goals based on volume, frequency, and quality of calls/contacts; qualified leads and opportunities generated; lead conversion percentage; bookings and campaign metrics
  • Research and source customer data and insights to identify prospective customers and locate key decision makers within such customers
  • Professionally communicate with management, peers, and all levels of decision makers and influencers internally at MapAnything and externally with prospects and clients
  • Create a continually full pipeline of potential candidates, onboard and train new reps, and provide career paths for team members


What “Leads” To Success:

 

  • 5+ years experience in business development or enterprise-level selling in a fast-growth SaaS environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Finance, Marketing or related field (strongly preferred)
  • 1 - 3 years experience managing / leading an inside sales team in a call center environment
  • Technical ability to understand MapAnything’s products and competitive differentiation
  • Expert Knowledge and experience working with Salesforce.com and other tools
  • A desire to stay current on trends and developments across technology, business development and sales
  • Proven track record of success prospecting for new business
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity
